AFTERNOON STROLL
It was one PM,
when we took our stroll,
my dog and I,
to see what our eyes could spy.
We walked about five minutes or so,
over a knoll,
through a grove of baby aspens,
we did stroll.
Off to my right,
what did I see,
three doe looking,
looking back at me.
My dog,
because he was small,
never saw these deer at all.
Sometimes our size,
and our circumstances,
determine what we see.
So let's walk with God,
and His creation ,
we shall see!

Blessed Assurance!
Blessed assurance Jesus is mine O what a foretaste of glory divine. I love this old hymn " Blessed Assurance" written long ago by Fanny Crosby. O what assurance we have in Jesus! I am going to share some with you now. 1/ Fellowship and union with God.--- 1 Cor.6:19-20; Eph.5:30; 1 Cor.1:9; 1 John 1 3,6-7. 2/ Peace with God.--- Romans 5:1; 2:10,11; 8:6; 14:17-19; 15:13; John 14:27; Eph.2:14-17. 3/ Spirits testimony.--- Romans 8:15-16. Absolute assurance.--- Romans 8:33-39; 2 Timothy 1:12.
38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Blessed assurance Jesus is mine!
Romans 8:38-39
King James Version (KJV)
38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Blessed assurance Jesus is mine!

The Fishing Trail
When I was a lad,
a fishing I would go,
with my dad,
as we walked,
we walked very slow,
not to frighten,
the fish, you know.
On the trail,
we would walk past,
an old log cabin,
surrounded by fallen trees,
and long and tangled grass.
As a young boy,
my imagination would flare,
and wonder,
what persons lived there.
Was it a trapper,
trapping beaver,
or maybe black bear?
That old cabin is long gone,
rotted into the ground,
not a trace of that cabin,
not a trace can be found.
The same will be said of me,
in a hundred years or so.
Even if on this old sod,
no trace of us is found,
if we know Jesus,
we will be found,
safe in the arms of God.

The Quiet Cabin
The day is quiet and still,
as I lie here,
thinking about a cabin,
a cabin high on a hill.
That old cabin,
about a mile from the road,
on both sides of the driveway,
rows of red pine have growed.
It was late in the fall,
my last time there,
the cabin was nestled,
nestled in brilliant colors,
O, how beautiful, how fare.
As I think and dream,
about that cabin so fare,
O, how I wish, I was there!
as I lie here,
thinking about a cabin,
a cabin high on a hill.
That old cabin,
about a mile from the road,
on both sides of the driveway,
rows of red pine have growed.
It was late in the fall,

about that cabin so fare,
O, how I wish, I was there!
