Oh, what a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bare and Jesus loves me this I know! What great hymns about Jesus! God is near, as I walk in the forest green, and when I sit by clear waters, and I sense His presence, when I view the white tailed deer. I enjoy His presence in the morning, while walking through a beautiful garden, seeing the lily and the golden daffodil. I know He is with me, while I am walking in a deep valley, or climbing very steep hills. I feel His warmth in the sunshine, and His freshness in the rain, and His gracious hand of mercy, while I am living with my pain. I feel God’s presence, when I read His Holy Word, there He reveals His story, the greatest love story ever heard. When I awake in the morning, I have nothing to fear, I praise God and give thanks, that my Lord is near.~ Winston Staples

 This is one of my first poems I wrote about 15 years ago about being careful what we say.  WORDS words are special, powerful indeed, they can sooth a broken heart, when positive words we feed. Words spoken wisely, help heal broken souls; words guide our foot steps, as we walk toward our goals. Words spoken carelessly. wound innocent hearts; once spoken, cannot be retrieved; We may say we are sorry, but forgiveness is hard to receive. Here I am Jesus, reading your word, Guided by the Holy Spirit to learn the greatest, greatest story heard. Here I am, waiting for You, to come, to take me home, to live with You, and the Saints waiting, for me to come. Here I am, praying for others, to see their need, and call upon Your name, and be saved; Their blessing from You, they can claim. The Dream Last night I dreamed a dream, some might call it a nightmare, and they would scream. I was in a large fancy building, people were everywhere, there was no Bible reading, and there was no prayer; I asked,  whom do you worship? They answered,  the world is our master, I answered, I don't agree wit you there! Jesus is my Master, I hear His loving words, I see Him  everywhere! ~Winston Staples
