I love the old hymns and little choruses we used to sing around the fire at summer Bible camp. A favorite now is ” He is able “; it goes like this. He’s able, He’s able, I know He’s able, I know my Lord is able to carry me through. [ Repeat] He healed the brokenhearted and set the captive free; He made the lame to walk again and caused the blind to see. He’s able, He’s able, I know He’s able; I know my Lord is able to carry me through. If you need a lift, He can carry you!

Today I am sharing two of my favorite Psalms which I believe go hand in hand with each other. These are Psalm 121 and 23. Psalm 121 King James Version (KJV) 121 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. True Love: they say, love is a many splendor thing, it can make the feet dance and your heart sing. True love can begin a new life, without love, that new life, can be snuffed out, by a surgeon’s knife. God loved us, by sending His Son, and through His love, death, and resurrection, eternal life for us was won. Loving one another, is the greatest commandment, according to God’s word, love gives greater victory, than using a sword. Let’s love one another, with smiles on our face, loving one another and thanking God for His grace. ~ Winston Staples

Psalm 3 King James Version 3  Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. 2  Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. 3  But thou, O  Lord , art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. 4  I cried unto the  Lord  with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. 5  I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the  Lord  sustained me. 6  I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about. 7  Arise, O  Lord ; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly. 8  Salvation belongeth unto the  Lord : thy blessing is upon thy people.
