PAINFUL STEPS

Painful Steps Each painful step up Calvary’s hill, He took His Father’s will to fulfill. Each painful step was for you and me, Providing us the way to walk into eternity. Each painful step, each painful blow, He endured for you and me, His everlasting love to show. Each drop of blood He freely gave, To bare our sins, our souls to save. The painful spear that pierced His side, He willfully endured, so with Him we could abide. Yes, dear soul! Jesus God’s only Son, Through these painful steps, victory was won. Jesus endured all this agony and pain, To defeat Satan and our salvation to gain. All hail the power of Jesus name, Thank Him for His victory, we can claim. He bore the sin of the world; His salvation to bring; Jesus, the Christ, the Lord of Lords, And King of Kings. ~ Winston Staples

THE RESURRECTION!

Luke 24:1-12 King James Version 24  Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. 2  And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. 3  And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4  And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: 5  And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? 6  He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, 7  Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. 8  And they remembered his words, 9  And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest. 10  It was Mary Magdalene and...

Psalm 22 King James Version 22  My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? 2  O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. 3  But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. 4  Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. 5  They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. 6  But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. 7  All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, 8  He trusted on the  Lord  that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. 9  But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts. 10  I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mothe...

Psalm 150 King James Version 150  Praise ye the  Lord .  Praise God  in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2  Praise him  for his mighty acts:  praise him  according to his excellent greatness. 3  Praise him  with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4  Praise him  with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5  Praise him  upon the loud cymbals:  praise him  upon the high sounding cymbals. 6  Let every thing that hath breath praise the  Lord .  Praise ye the LORD.
Not the best, not the worst, not the sour, not the sweet, not the hand, not the feet; yes, it's not the first, not the last, not the slow, not the fast, not the short, not the tall; But, it's the words, words we speak, the words we sing, from our heart, words of love, words loud and clear, words of truth, everyday, every year. Words like I love you; Like God is near, God is our Father, God is the Son and God the Spirit, God the Three in one; Through the Spirit, these words proclaim, Jesus's death on that cruel cross, His burial in a burrowed tomb, and His resurrection the third day, giving Eternal life to those who hear, and those who believe! ~Winston Staples

Just Thinking!

It was early, I was up, because I couldn’t sleep; I put on my boots, and out the door I did creep. I slowly walked out the old woods trail, and as I peeked through the trees, I saw twelve eyes looking back at me. They were the eyes of six white tailed deer, trying to get a better view and wondering what I was up too! Then I remembered, that we are always being watched, by God’s watchful eye, as our days on earth pass so quickly by. So let us keep our eyes open, and watch each step we take, and with our hand in His; He will lead us through Heaven’s pearly gates. ~Winston Staples

Hasten Sring!

Today I awoke to soft snow, soft snow fluttering down; the white hillside looking so clean, but I am longing to see, those same hillsides, a beautiful forty shades of green! Oh, today I am saying, hasten, yes, hasten to wonderful Spring; Spring where wildflowers bloom, Spring, where the song birds sing; to witness the power of God's voice, and the power of God's hands, and I say, hasten on beautiful Spring! ~Winston Staples
