Todays Scripture!

Sometimes I am asked what my favourite book of the Bible and I reply Romans; Sometimes I am asked what are favourite chapters are and I reply Romans five and eight King James version. I love the letters Apostle Paul wrote to the church bodies he help start and minister to the Gentiles. I am sharing Romans 5:1-10 today. 5  Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2  By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3  And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4  And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5  And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. 6  For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a...

A Writing!

As I look, at the rushing brook, I sing ” GLORY TO HIS NAME”. As I look, at the forest green, I sing ” GLORY TO HIS NAME”. As I look, at the mighty pines, I sing ” GLORY TO HIS NAME”. As I look, at the majestic hills, I sing ” GLORY TO HIS NAME”. As I look, at the everlasting skies, I sing ” GLORY TO HIS NAME”. ~Winston Staples

Observations

I sit looking across the hills, watching the birds fly, flying to and fro, to the bird feeder, across the road. The hills have lost, their beautiful multi-colors, and now are greens and grey; soon the will be covered, with a white blanket, when they receive , the first fall of snow. So let's sing praises to our Heavenly Father, all ye voices on high, and all ye voices below, lifting a sweet sound, as we sing "How great thou art" and a hearty rendition, of "Joy to the world" and "God rest ye merry gentlemen", "O what a friend we have in Jesus" and close our singing, with "O Holy Night". ~Winston Staples

Bible Reading!

Colossians 3:10-14 King James Version 10  And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11  Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. 12  Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13  Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14  And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
