The Church!

Hi my friends! Today we are looking at more teaching about the church as recorded in the Bible. Romans 7:4-6;  Ephesians 5:24 tell us that this great body of believers is subject to Christ; He is to be given all honor and all glory for the work He has done. Ephesians 3: 10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God. Colossians 3:   16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.   We the church should continually be in the attitude of prayer and praise, letting our little lights shine so people can see the glorious light of Jesus!

Doors!

Doors are made to go through, in our out, it’s up to you; doors are of many types, that we must face in life, some bring us happiness, while others may bring strife. Some doors are meant for us to open, while others are better left shut, some lead us into green pastures, while others may lead us into deep ruts. There are two doors into eternity, that may be opened by death, one leads down to eternal torment and the other into heavenly rest. Doors of destruction may be selfishness and pride; Jesus is the door to Heaven, He will welcome you with arms open wide. Trust in Him and with Him you will always abide! Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. ~Winston Staples

A Wonderful Psalm!

Psalm 23 A Psalm of David. 1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. This writing is the most read and recited of any of David’s Psalms.

Heaven's Splendor!

HEAVEN’S SPLENDOR O, to walk on those streets of gold, that are in Heaven, I’m told, to see the Jasper walls, and those gates of pearl, O, to live without sin, trouble or pain, no heartaches at all, and be able to talk, talk with Jesus and Apostle Paul. O, to see the crystal sea, and listen to the Angels sing, and gather around God’s thrown, and with every sound proclaim, worthy is the LAMB that was slain!

Wake Up!

AWAKE! Awake, my mind awake! Meditate on God; His words and grace so freely given. Awake, my eyes awake! See God’s gift of salvation. Awake, my ears awake! Hear His words of comfort given. Awake, my tongue awake! Proclaim His truth of redemption. Awake, my mouth awake! Sing His praise and glory forever. Awake, my heart awake! Be filled with God’s spirit. Awake, my arms awake! Embrace His mercy forever. Awake, my hands awake! Serve Him in His awesome creation. Awake, my knees awake! Bow in prayer with humble adoration. Awake, my legs awake! Stand firm with great devotion. Awake, my feet awake! Follow the steps Jesus trod before us. Awake, my soul awake! Praise God for His love and favor. Rejoice, my being rejoice! Dwell with Christ forever. ~ Winston Staples

A FAVOURITE PSALMS!

Psalm 121 King James Version 121  I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2  My help cometh from the  Lord , which made heaven and earth. 3  He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4  Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5  The  Lord  is thy keeper: the  Lord  is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6  The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7  The  Lord  shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8  The  Lord  shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

A SUMMER AFTERNOON!

Sitting in my study, with window open wide, a cool Summer breeze, blows the paper by my side. The gentle breeze, blowing on my face, brings back, so many good memories, like this, that time in my mind, tries  to erase. Now I am trying, to write memories down, because if I forget, there is no one to ask, that still is around. So, on this Summer afternoon, sit and enjoy this day, whether in sunshine or shade, this day, wonderful day, is a day God has made, so no matter what happens, let’s never forget to pray! ~ Winston Staples

Today's Psalm!

This is one of the five Psalms of David about PRAISING GOD.All creation is giving praise! This will occur after God removes the curse caused by sin and that day gets handier with each breath we take. The Psalm I share today is 145 King James Version;trust you will be blessed as you read! 145 I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. 2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. 3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. 4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. 5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. 6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. 7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness. 8 The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. 9 The Lord is good to all...

Life"s Road!

Image
As I walk along this road; I grow weary from it’s load, I see hardships, and I feel stress, I see sin and the worldly mess, because of their love of gold. As I walk along life’s road, seeing so many people’s problems, while others richly blessed. As I walk along life’s road, I know God is with  me, as I see HIM working in so many ways, so my friends let’s give HIM praise. As I walk along life’s road, and see and rejoice with others, when they choose to walk with me down this strait and narrow road, and we pray you will walk it too! ~ Winston G. Staples

Home Sick!

I’M HOMESICK FOR HEAVEN, I’VE A DEEP LONGING IN MY SOUL, TO SEE THE BLESSED FACE OF JESUS, AND BE MADE PERFECTLY WHOLE. I’M HOMESICK FOR HEAVEN, MY LOVED ONES TO SEE, TO SING PRAISES TO GOD, OUR SAVIOR FOR ETERNITY. I’M HOMESICK FOR HEAVEN, WHERE THOSE SAVED BY JESUS DWELL, THROUGH HIS BLOOD HE REDEEMED THEM, AND SAVED THEIR SOUL FROM HELL. I’M HOMESICK FOR HEAVEN, SOON JESUS WILL TAKE ME THERE, IF YOU ARE WITHOUT SALVATION, CAST UPON HIM YOUR EVERY CARE. I’M HOMESICK FOR HEAVEN, TRUST IN JESUS NOW, AND JOIN HIM IN HEAVEN, WHERE ETERNITY WE WILL SHARE. I’M HOMESICK FOR HEAVEN, I’VE A DEEP LONGING IN MY SOUL, TO SEE THE BLESSED FACE OF JESUS, AND BE MADE PERFECTLY WHOLE! ~WINSTON STAPLES

ASSURANCE!

Good day my friends! It is a great privilege to share these few words of Scripture with you and today finishes our brief look at Assurance for the Soul. I hope you enjoyed it and was blessed! 2 Co.5:17; 1Jn.3:14-22– Assurance of a changed life! Romans 15:12-13; Phil.4:7. Romans 15:12-13 King James Version (KJV)  12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. 13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. We have assurance of joy and inner peace! Another step in the ladder of assurance is the step of victorious living. 1 John 5:4-5– 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? We have the Holy Spirits testimony for assurance. [ Romans 8:1...

THE COMFORTER!

Today is another beautiful sunny day with gentle breezes blow. Today we are looking in our King James Bibles to learn more what it tells about the Holy Spirit [ the Comforter]. Let's open our bible to Rom.14:12-14; Gal.5:22 and  1 Thess. 1:6. These verses tell us the Comforter communicates joy to the Saints. flip the pages back to Acts 9:31 here we are told the Holy Spirit edifies the Church. Turn back to John 15:24-26 He testifies Christ. Romans 5:3-5 the Holy Spirit imparts the Love of God; not only does the Comforter impart love He imparts He imparts hope as recorded in Romans 15:13 and Gal.5:3-5. We read in John 14:24-26 He guides and teaches the Saints. The Spirit also dwells in the Saints He dwells forever.[ John 14:15-17, John 14:14-16.] Read John chapters 14-16 as extra enlightenment! God's Love!

How big is God’s love! Let’s look in the book of Romans 8:KJV. Verses 33-39. Romans 8:33-39 King James Version 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

LADDERS!

As I lie here, unable to sleep, I think of many things, and not counting sheep. It amazes me, what comes into my mind, and to others it does not matter, but tonight, I thought about ladders. About man over the years, have used them to gain heights, like those of Babel, reaching up, trying to reach God, and those ladders firemen use, lives and buildings to save. Man and his inventions, reach almost everywhere, on this old sod, but his ladders can not reach Heaven, and the presence of God. God provided a ladder, one that came down, so we could go up. That ladder was Jesus, God’s only Son. He came to us, as a little humble babe, and after 33 years, He gave up His life, baring our sins, and through Him ~Winston Staples

OH WHAT A FRIEND!

Oh, what a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bare and Jesus loves me this I know! What great hymns about Jesus! Today we are going to look at a couple more verses that tell us about Jesus.    John 13:1Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.  John 15:13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.   Yes, Jesus loves me for the Bible tells me so!   Luke 22:27For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.    Phil.2:8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.   Let’s thank God for the humility of Christ and the paying of our sin debt in full and forever....

ROADS!

Roads Some roads are long and narrow, some roads have hills dangerously steep, some roads are short and wide, some roads have valleys very deep. All roads have a beginning; all roads have an end. but all roads are not our friend. The Bible speaks of two roads, one narrow and one wide, the wide road leads to destruction; it’s on this road, every ones journey begins. the other road, the straight and narrow, is where God wants you to be. This road is entered by knowing Jesus, our one true guide, you see. This road leads to Heaven, with Jesus by our side; when we reach Heaven, there with God, we will abide. Dear friend, on what road are you? If you are on the wide road, the road of despair, I pray, that you will call upon Jesus to detour you from there. ~ Winston Staples

A Great Psalm!

Psalm 37King James Version 37  Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2  For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. 3  Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4  Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5  Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 6  And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. 7  Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 8  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 9  For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. 10  For yet...
