A SUMMER AFTERNOON!

Sitting in my study, with window open wide, a cool Summer breeze, blows the paper by my side. The gentle breeze, blowing on my face, brings back, so many good memories, like this, that time in my mind, tries  to erase. Now I am trying, to write memories down, because if I forget, there is no one to ask, that still is around. So, on this Summer afternoon, sit and enjoy this day, whether in sunshine or shade, this day, wonderful day, is a day God has made, so no matter what happens, let’s never forget to pray! ~ Winston Staples

Today's Psalm!

This is one of the five Psalms of David about PRAISING GOD.All creation is giving praise! This will occur after God removes the curse caused by sin and that day gets handier with each breath we take. The Psalm I share today is 145 King James Version;trust you will be blessed as you read! 145 I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. 2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. 3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. 4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. 5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. 6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. 7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness. 8 The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. 9 The Lord is good to all...

Life"s Road!

Image
As I walk along this road; I grow weary from it’s load, I see hardships, and I feel stress, I see sin and the worldly mess, because of their love of gold. As I walk along life’s road, seeing so many people’s problems, while others richly blessed. As I walk along life’s road, I know God is with  me, as I see HIM working in so many ways, so my friends let’s give HIM praise. As I walk along life’s road, and see and rejoice with others, when they choose to walk with me down this strait and narrow road, and we pray you will walk it too! ~ Winston G. Staples

Home Sick!

I’M HOMESICK FOR HEAVEN, I’VE A DEEP LONGING IN MY SOUL, TO SEE THE BLESSED FACE OF JESUS, AND BE MADE PERFECTLY WHOLE. I’M HOMESICK FOR HEAVEN, MY LOVED ONES TO SEE, TO SING PRAISES TO GOD, OUR SAVIOR FOR ETERNITY. I’M HOMESICK FOR HEAVEN, WHERE THOSE SAVED BY JESUS DWELL, THROUGH HIS BLOOD HE REDEEMED THEM, AND SAVED THEIR SOUL FROM HELL. I’M HOMESICK FOR HEAVEN, SOON JESUS WILL TAKE ME THERE, IF YOU ARE WITHOUT SALVATION, CAST UPON HIM YOUR EVERY CARE. I’M HOMESICK FOR HEAVEN, TRUST IN JESUS NOW, AND JOIN HIM IN HEAVEN, WHERE ETERNITY WE WILL SHARE. I’M HOMESICK FOR HEAVEN, I’VE A DEEP LONGING IN MY SOUL, TO SEE THE BLESSED FACE OF JESUS, AND BE MADE PERFECTLY WHOLE! ~WINSTON STAPLES

ASSURANCE!

Good day my friends! It is a great privilege to share these few words of Scripture with you and today finishes our brief look at Assurance for the Soul. I hope you enjoyed it and was blessed! 2 Co.5:17; 1Jn.3:14-22– Assurance of a changed life! Romans 15:12-13; Phil.4:7. Romans 15:12-13 King James Version (KJV)  12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. 13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. We have assurance of joy and inner peace! Another step in the ladder of assurance is the step of victorious living. 1 John 5:4-5– 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? We have the Holy Spirits testimony for assurance. [ Romans 8:1...

BIBLE VERSES FOR TODAY! Posted on   July 28, 2018   by   wint68,70pluswint Psalm 23    (KJV) 23  The  Lord  is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the  Lord  for ever.

A FAVOURITE PSALM!

Image
Psalm 121King James Version 121  I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2  My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. 3  He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4  Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5  The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6  The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7  The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8  The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

THE COMFORTER!

Today is another beautiful sunny day with gentle breezes blow. Today we are looking in our King James Bibles to learn more what it tells about the Holy Spirit [ the Comforter]. Let's open our bible to Rom.14:12-14; Gal.5:22 and  1 Thess. 1:6. These verses tell us the Comforter communicates joy to the Saints. flip the pages back to Acts 9:31 here we are told the Holy Spirit edifies the Church. Turn back to John 15:24-26 He testifies Christ. Romans 5:3-5 the Holy Spirit imparts the Love of God; not only does the Comforter impart love He imparts He imparts hope as recorded in Romans 15:13 and Gal.5:3-5. We read in John 14:24-26 He guides and teaches the Saints. The Spirit also dwells in the Saints He dwells forever.[ John 14:15-17, John 14:14-16.] Read John chapters 14-16 as extra enlightenment! God's Love!

How big is God’s love! Let’s look in the book of Romans 8:KJV. Verses 33-39. Romans 8:33-39 King James Version 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

LADDERS!

As I lie here, unable to sleep, I think of many things, and not counting sheep. It amazes me, what comes into my mind, and to others it does not matter, but tonight, I thought about ladders. About man over the years, have used them to gain heights, like those of Babel, reaching up, trying to reach God, and those ladders firemen use, lives and buildings to save. Man and his inventions, reach almost everywhere, on this old sod, but his ladders can not reach Heaven, and the presence of God. God provided a ladder, one that came down, so we could go up. That ladder was Jesus, God’s only Son. He came to us, as a little humble babe, and after 33 years, He gave up His life, baring our sins, and through Him ~Winston Staples

OH WHAT A FRIEND!

Oh, what a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bare and Jesus loves me this I know! What great hymns about Jesus! Today we are going to look at a couple more verses that tell us about Jesus.    John 13:1Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.  John 15:13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.   Yes, Jesus loves me for the Bible tells me so!   Luke 22:27For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.    Phil.2:8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.   Let’s thank God for the humility of Christ and the paying of our sin debt in full and forever....

ROADS!

Roads Some roads are long and narrow, some roads have hills dangerously steep, some roads are short and wide, some roads have valleys very deep. All roads have a beginning; all roads have an end. but all roads are not our friend. The Bible speaks of two roads, one narrow and one wide, the wide road leads to destruction; it’s on this road, every ones journey begins. the other road, the straight and narrow, is where God wants you to be. This road is entered by knowing Jesus, our one true guide, you see. This road leads to Heaven, with Jesus by our side; when we reach Heaven, there with God, we will abide. Dear friend, on what road are you? If you are on the wide road, the road of despair, I pray, that you will call upon Jesus to detour you from there. ~ Winston Staples

A Great Psalm!

Psalm 37King James Version 37  Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2  For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. 3  Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4  Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5  Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 6  And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. 7  Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 8  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 9  For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. 10  For yet...

Little Vessels!

Little Vessels We are little vessels, Created by God’s hand, Put here a little while, To walk in this land. We are little vessels, Broken and marred by sin, God knows our every weakness, He wants to mold us from within. We are little vessels, Who need saved from sin, And by submitting to God our potter, Salvation will begin. We are little vessels, Saved from sin and shame, Jesus gives us victory, Because He lives again. We are little vessels, Being molded by His spirit, Because of His love and grace, And not by our merit. We are little vessels, Being shaped, As He would have us be, Perfect in His sight, When the face of Jesus we see. ~ Winston Staples

Creation's Beauty!

Creations Beauty Sitting looking out my window pane, everything’s so beautiful and green, being washed and refreshed by the falling rain. A woodpecker is tapping on a dead pine, tap, tap, tap, what a hammering sound; a chipmunk, carrying a piece of bread, scurries across the ground. Yes, as I look out, all nature is alive! Leaves so green, flowers so pretty in blossom everywhere; tells me we have a creator, who really cares. He not only cares for our physical being, and because of His love, He wants our soul to be free, and all His spiritual blessings seeing. Yes, He wants to set us free, from our bondage of sin; He sent Jesus, His only Son, and by His sacrifice, complete victory could be won. ~ Winston Staples

The Giver!

The Giver: The Bible says, it is more blessed to give than receive! Down through the ages, there have been many great givers, the greatest of them is God Himself. He gave mankind all the wondrous gifts found in creation: the sun, the moon, the stars, the seas and all creatures great and small. In the beginning all was at peace in the garden; then came the devil, then came sin; then came death to all,But the love of God still was there! Because of sin, man was separated from his perfect fellowship with God. God still loved His creation so in order to save it, God, through His wonderful grace sent His Son Jesus, to live on earth, to die on earth and to resurrect from earth returning to God the Father, there interceding for man at this very moment. So from the start of time to the finish of time, God is and forever will be the greatest giver with the greatest gift! Dear soul why not except His greatest Gift of all? Eternal life through Jesus, His Son.~ Winston Staples

Special Sounds!

SOUNDS I love the sound, of the morning dove, when he calls his mate in love; I love the sound, of the distant loon, as he sings his mournful tune; I love the sound, of the gentle breeze, as it moves and rustles the leaves; I love the sound, of the falling rain, as it strikes against the window pane; I love the sound, of the babbling brook’ as I sit and dangle my hook; I love the sound, of the lullaby, as the mother soothes her child’s cry. I love the sound, all creation gives, and shouts the news, our creator lives; I love the sound, of God’s Holy word, and the great message it gives to be heard, salvation and great hope for the lost, comes from God at great cost. If this great truth they believe, eternal life they shall receive. There is a sound, I am waiting for, the sound of a great shout, and a trumpets blare, when the Saints will meet, Christ in the air; We will be ushered to Heaven above, because of His amazing grace and eternal love. ~ Winston Staples

Just Thinking!

Today we are blessed with another beautiful sunny day,  a great day to say thank you to our Heavenly Father, for all the blessing He bestows on us daily; I know we travel routh roads in life, but just think for each rough spot, we have manny, many, more smooth spots, in our walk if we place our lives, in the hands of Jesus  Galatians 2:20 KJV  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.  walk in faith. Eph.2:6-8 KJV. 6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7  That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

My Observations!

Today is a bright sunny day on the ridge, a nice breeze is blowing, blowing the clouds, that pass quickly bye,and two bald eagles, soar over the river searching for lunch, as I listen to a preacher on my tv. My mind wanders back to a cool Fall evening, the year was 1958 at a revival meeting, in the little baptist church, where I received  Jesus as my Saviour, as did four other young friends. I shall always mark that time, as the most important  event of my life. I pray that as the gospel is proclaimed, a great number will call, upon the name, the wonderful name of Jesus, for salvation from all their sins. ~Winston Staples

Thank You Father!

Thank you Father for your creation so fare, and for all these things you truly care. Thank you Father for the sun so bright, and the stars and moon that shine at night. Thank you Father for all the beauty you give us to see, may we use these to enlighten us about Thee. Thank you Father for the herbs and meat and all the good things you give us to eat. Thank you Father for the birds and bees, and all the blessings from the trees. Thank you Father for your word to me, and listening to my prayers, from where ever I might be. Thank you Father for sending Jesus your Son, that through Him salvation to mankind would come. Thank you Father for being our refuge in storms, and giving wisdom for your service to preform. Thank you Father for each morning, each a new beginning for a closer walk with you, one with less sinning. ~Winston Staples
