I am sitting looking out my window,
eyes focused on a pair of doves;
I am not paying attention,
to anything else.
I do not see the pretty pine branch,
they are perched upon, nor the baby blue sky.
This draws into my mind,
that we Christians sometime lose our focus,
on the important things in our Christian walk.
Some of these areas may be as follows:
Spending a lot of time trying to apply Old Testament instructions
addressed to the children of Israel to our lives instead of New Testament teaching
to us and the Church on how to live daily before others.
Some time we focus so much on the cross and fail to see our Savior.
Some time we focus so much on self and do not see the Savior and the needs of others.
Some time we speak so much about kneeling at the foot of the cross and we should be at the feet of Jesus.
Some time we spend so much time looking for the mote in others eye's and do not see the log in our eye.
Some time we see the faults of others and fail to see we are not perfect ourselves.
Some times we seek revenge instead of offering forgiveness.
Let us place our focus where it should be, the reason Jesus came, to set us free.
Let us center our lives in the Glory of the Christ of the New Covenant, the one who died to set us free from the laws of the Old Covenant!
