Adoption into God’s Family



The past few days we have been looking into the Scripture and seeing what it records about adoption into the family of God and our relationship with Him and His persons, today we continue in our search. Romans 8:19,23; 1 John 3:2. 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. What a day that will be when we finally meet our Saviour, our Brother and joint heir in the Family of God!  2 Samuel 7:14; Proverbs 3:11-12; Hebrews 12:5-11. Proverbs 3: 11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:


12For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. Until that perfect day when we see Jesus face to face we will be chastened because God loves us and is preparing us for that glorious day! 


2 Co.6:17-18; 2 Co. 7:1; Phil. 2:15; 1 John 3:1-3.  1 John 3:1Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.3And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. But until we see Jesus we should be drawn to a closer walk with God knowing we are adopted into His Family and seek a closer fellowship each step we take until that glorious day when we see Jesus!
