JUST THINKING!

I am remembering back, 65 years or so, when on Christmas day my younger brother and I would get up early, open or presents, usually a pair of skates or a hockey stick. We got dressed warm and walk a mile or so down the road to our best friends home before they were up. After they finished their breakfast we would go to the ice pond where all the young men would meet to play hockey all day. O, how I miss those times of playing hockey and fellowship with those dear folk.

SPECIAL LAZY DAYS

It's a lazy day in September,

like a lazy day in May,

it's a lazy day in September;

The birds flocking to go away.

I read God's word,

and seek His Spirits guidance,

before I stop to pray.

Yes, on this lazy day in September,

and like a lazy day in May,

We need to worship,

worship God our Sovereign Creator,

giving Him our praise,

and thanks everyday!

SOUL FILLINGS!

Dear soul do you hunger and thirst?
Do you have a desire to be filled?
Feast on God's word, the Bread of Life;
Drink the Living Water, it's in the Word of God.
Dear soul hold fast to God's Word;
Trust it for guidance as we travel this sod.
Walk in Christ's foot steps,
And sing of God's mercy sent from above.
Shout praises to the Lord;
HE is show us HIS unending love;
Dear soul, meditate on God's word,
Giving it great thought as it enters your mind.
Thank God for giving grace to save mankind;
Dear soul, praise God with all your being,
And for His wisdom to keep us spiritually seeing.
Dear soul study for understanding of God's word,
That is sharper than a two-edged sword.
Thank God the Father, for giving His Son,
Who on the cross, He said it is done.
Thank you Jesus, for taking our sin to Calvary,
Where by HIS blood He set the believer free.
Rejoice, rejoice with singing; taking time to pray,
And watching for His return; It could be today!
Yes, dear soul, daily feast on His Word;
Drink from His fountains;
Ask to be filled by His Holy Spirit,
And put on His armor and boldly wear it!

SPECIAL THOUGHTS!

I got out,

for a short walk today,

beautiful flowers bloom along the way.

A little bird,

chirped a song,

in the branches above;

singing praises to their Creator;;

the Creator of everything,

all around, below and above.

My brother went home,

his Heavenly home the other day,

he loved his Heavenly Father,

all along his life’s way,

and now he is with his Master,

with his Master to stay.

No matter whether I look ,

look up or down,

and on every side,

God can be found;

so let’s enjoy His love,

peace and joy as we walk,

with faith walk along life’s way;

with a song in our heart,

and a smile on our face,

showing God’s love,

in our earthly space.

A July Day

It is a nice sunny day,

this first day of July,

the soft gentle breeze,

blows the many flowers,

and moving to and fro,

the green branches on the trees.

High in the breezy skies,

I see two eagles soar and fly;

On this July day,

here in Canada we name,

name this special day, Canada Day;

Our Countries founding day.

As I watch and I see,

precious birds and butterflies,

fly so beautifully bye me;

I feel the sunshine,

so golden on the hills,

and I look at the lillies,

daisies,buttercups and daffodils.

July we welcome you,

your warm and sunny skies,

and enjoying the fireflies,

as they glow through the night;

I say my prayers and say good night,

and close my sleepy eyes.

Sheltered: Through the pines, where soft breezes blow, through the pines, we see traces of snow, through the pines, where birds, build their nests, a doe and her fawn take rest. In His arms, we can safely go, in His arms, we find shelter, from the wild storms that blow; In His arms, we find sweet rest, gather strength, and are richly blessed.

MOTHERS DAY!

I think about mothers,

how over the years,

provide for their children,

with joy and with tears.

I see mothers,

down on their knees,

with prayerful hearts,

asking for guidance,

and provide family needs.

I see them standing,

over hot steaming pots,

preparing good food,

and thanking God,

for what they got.

I see mothers,

having a need,

they get out the Bible,

their King James,

they would read,

then they would kneel,

and they would pray,

get up rejoicing,

with a song in their heart,

and renewed in spirit,

their work they would start.
