December 2016 – Wint68's Blog

December 2016 – Wint68's Blog: "Topic: HOPE OF HEAVEN.

I sit here getting older every minute, watching the seconds tick bye. I think about the hopes and dreams I have had over the passing years, some happy and some with tears. My hope now is the HOPE OF HEAVEN. Let’s open our Bibles to the following verses and observe what they say.

*Job.19: 25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me. { I shall see God }.

*Psalm 73: 24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

25 Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. { I shall see the GLORY OF HEAVEN and ENJOY THE PRESENCE OF GOD FOREVER! }

*John 15: I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

*1 Cor.4:10 We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. { OUR STRENGTH IS IN CHRIST AND OUR WISDOM IS IN CHRIST }

*1 Thess.4: 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. { ALL THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN CHRIST WILL BE IN HEAVEN!  }

*Rev.21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.  { SIN WILL NOT BE IN HEAVEN: IT WILL BE A PERFECT PLACE FOR ALL WHOSE NAME IS WRITTEN IN THE LAMB’S BOOK OF LIFE>}

*Rev.22: And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.

9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. [verse 17]  And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

PASSING TIME – Wint68's Blog

PASSING TIME – Wint68's Blog: "The days they come,

the days they go,

sometimes fast,

sometimes slow.

The nights they come,

the nights they go,

a few fast,

much more slow.

no matter day,

how quickly,

those moments,

moments tick away.

Great Quote!

Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved. ~ Winston Churchill

CHRISTMAS THOUGHT!

Christmas is to be a time of gladness, but when I think of loved ones passed, Christmas can be a time of sadness. ~ Winston Staples

CHRISTMAS QUOTE!

Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, became a child again at Christmas-time. ~ Laura Ingalls Wilder

SPECIAL MEMORIES!

I gaze out my window,
up the old country road,
where I have walked,
yes, walked many a mile,
and all my life have growed.
I remember,
the Christmases of youth,
where we enjoyed,
the presents we got,
the family fellowship,
eating turkey, pies and candy,
and that is the truth.
Early Christmas morning,
we would grab our skates,
new pucks and hockey sticks,
rush to Jake's house,
silently enter quiet as a mouse.
We would all go to the ice pond,
many men would gather there,
we played until noon,
and many stayed hours beyond.
We  chased that old puck,
enjoying the game,
having so much fun,
all glad they had come.
Everlasting memories,
run quickly through my grey head,
I wish I could be,
playing hockey on that ice pond instead.

Christmas Thoughts | 70pluswint

Christmas Thoughts | 70pluswint: "The weather is warm today,

rain drops are falling down,

and the low lying fog,

slowly melts the snow from the ground.

In my heart,

I long for the snow to stay,

it is more like Christmas,

with snow on the ground,

as we watch the children,

children of all ages play.

It is the Christmas season,

joy is seen more,

this season of time,

as the Christmas tree gleem,

and the Christmas bells chime.

So let us keep,

the Christmas message,

message of love, peace and goodwill,

good will to all men,

and may the Christmas message never end."

JUST THINKING!

I lay in my bed,
and say thank you,
thank you Father,
for this wonderful day,
You have blessed me;
I pray for the less fortunate,
grant them peace and goodwill.
Heavenly Father,
I pray that they will,
realize who You are,
and call upon Your Holy name,
for forgiveness and blessings.

December 2016 – Wint68's Blog

December 2016 – Wint68's Blog: "Topic of today’s blog is patient in life.

We don’t seem to be creatures that want to wait upon anyone [ including God ] for things in our life; we want our way and we want it now. We are impatient people! Now let us open the pages of God’s word at look at the following verses:

I am reading from the [King James Version.]

Psalms 37:7 [Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:] fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Isaiah 33: Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee. 2 O Lord, be gracious unto us; [we have waited for thee]: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;12 Rejoicing in hope; [patient in tribulation]; continuing instant in prayer;13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

2 Thess.1:4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God [for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:]

Hebrews 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy."

EXPLORING GOD'S WORD [34]

Topic: Pursue Peace.
Mankind in general are looking for peace, many in all the wrong places. We  are to pursue peace as the followers of Christ. Today we are looking at a few verses from God’s word instructing us about pursuing peace.
Psalms 34:14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. [KJV]
Matthew 5:Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Mark 9:50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
[ I trust you will enjoy  these verses about peace and may you find true peace as you pursue it.] [ prepared by Winston Staples ]
