December 2016 – Wint68's Blog

December 2016 – Wint68's Blog: "Topic of today’s blog is patient in life.

We don’t seem to be creatures that want to wait upon anyone [ including God ] for things in our life; we want our way and we want it now. We are impatient people! Now let us open the pages of God’s word at look at the following verses:

I am reading from the [King James Version.]

Psalms 37:7 [Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:] fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Isaiah 33: Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee. 2 O Lord, be gracious unto us; [we have waited for thee]: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;12 Rejoicing in hope; [patient in tribulation]; continuing instant in prayer;13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

2 Thess.1:4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God [for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:]

Hebrews 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy."
